Khor Hill
No, it was not a jungle trekking. We were having our own cross-country event. It was a part of our assignment. Farhan and I measured the track days before. The officers from the police department were supposed to control the traffic during that day, but they were in charge for Le Tour de Langkawi. I just walked casually throughout the event. Ferini was the one who takes the shot. It was kind of them to accompany me along the way. This shot describes us well. We were surrounded by woods all over us. This was the reason Nisha moved to Kirkby.
The officers from the ministry once came asking whether our program should have a continuity. We were happy enough but we would never suggest the ministry to have a new batch of us. The campus is quite far from the main road. The area was famous with gold mining. In the state museum, there is an image showing how people during the era mining until an incident happened. The area was closed after the tragedy. The bushes near me were later transformed into a synthetic field. Even the state team used the field for training. It was so great to slide on the field when it was raining.
I should have wear some socks. The habit turned the shoes into a smelly old
stuff. The cabin used to be the shelter for the construction workers. Once, we were
in the van heading for a prayer. Pok Mat
asked the worker in Indonesian language. Few moments later, the worker was
caught talking in English with my colleague. Only then I found out that the guy
has a PhD. The lack of job opportunities in his country forced him to do so.
There is nothing ahead us, only a cliff before an abandoned land.
Heading towards the unknown
