It Wasn’t Your Fault, It’s Mine
I’m a anti-social person. If Jim Carrey’s character in ‘The Cable Guy’ is based on a true story, it would be my true story. I spent my childhood by watching TV for most of my time. One of my favourite slot was Panggung Sabtu on TV3 Malaysia.
Following the most common weekend system, Saturday afternoon was the perfect time for me to stick on the couch relaxing my mind from the school stuffs. It was even better when I stayed in a hostel during my middle school time. I had nothing much to do in such a remote place. That’s how I was obsessed with movies. I was there when VHS tapes were a thing.
During my middle school era, I started purchasing DVDs which then turned into collections. A film’s prestiges matter to me. For indian movies, I always look for the director, producer, soundtrack composer, soundtrack singer, choreographer and finally the casts in term of selecting a movie to watch.
A.R Rahman’s Usure Poguthey, Genda Phool and Jiya Jale are three from my many favourite original soundtracks composed by an incredibly talented composer. My best duo singers are Atif Aslam and Shreya Goshal. Tere Liye from the movie Prince is one of my favourite picks as one of their best vocal performances in a film soundtrack.
